The Gust of Wind
Pierre-Auguste Renoir · 1872

About this painting
A sudden wind bends the grass and trees sideways in this 1872 landscape, Renoir capturing a fleeting atmospheric moment rather than a static scene — a hallmark of the emerging Impressionist style.
