This 1887 oil on canvas depicts a corner of Voyer-d'Argenson Park (Square Saint-Pierre) in Asnières, a spot Van Gogh painted repeatedly that summer. It has been in the Yale University Art Gallery since 1958, a gift of Clare Boothe and Henry Luce.
