Impressionism: The Hasso Plattner Collection

About this painting
This 1908 view of the Doge's Palace has a fraught provenance: seized from Jakob Goldschmidt's collection by the Nazis and restituted to his heir Erwin Goldschmidt in 1960, it sold at Sotheby's in 2015 for $23 million to Hasso Plattner, founder of Museum Barberini.
